Navigating Nuance highlights a year of art practice seeking a state of both/and-ness between sets of two ideas. Complexity, fluidity, and context in our thoughts serve to create points of connection between us, whereas simplicity and either/or thinking serve the status quo and its power holders by keeping the rest of us rigidly divided. Navigating nuance is a skill the demos must practice in every social sphere. Art is one vehicle for practicing this skill.
